Games We're Proud Of:

Scored 400+ points in games against Berryville, Cabot and Watson Chapel High Schools

Defeated North Kansas City High School, six-time state champions, in sudden-death play at University of Fayetteville Tournament

Lost to Fort Smith-Northside by a mere 125 points in the State Overalls, compared to our 360-point loss six months earlier

Defeated Huntsville High School in the State Finals, to whom we'd lost by one question the previous year

Defeated Woodham High School at Nationals, the team that had placed second in the nation in 1999 

Seniors Joe Burton, Bart Taylor, and David Jones, along with Freshman Allyn Dodd, compete in the regional classification tournament on March 7.  We placed first in the regional and state competitions, then took third in the state overalls on April 29.

 

 

1999 Tournament Rankings

Last year was a very good year for us. Our team won the Regional Tournament for the second consecutive year, came in second in the State Tournament, and placed sixth in the AGQBA Overall Tournament. Alumus Kyle Yancey was named to the Arkansas All-Star Team and competed with them at the Panasonic Tournament in Orlando, Florida, last summer.
